What should I expect during my first massage?
Your first visit will begin with a brief consultation. We'll discuss your health history, any specific concerns or goals you have, and what you'd like to achieve with your massage. This helps us tailor the session to your individual needs. We'll then step out of the room to allow you to undress to your comfort level and get settled on the massage table under a sheet and blanket. Throughout the session, your therapist will check in with you about pressure and comfort.
Do I have to get completely undressed?
Absolutely not. Your comfort is our top priority. You should only undress to the level you feel comfortable with. You will be professionally draped with a sheet and blanket throughout the entire session, with only the area being worked on uncovered.
What type of massage should I get?
It depends on your needs and preferences. We offer a variety of massage modalities, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial Release. During your initial consultation, we can discuss your goals and recommend the best approach for you. If you're looking for relaxation, a Swedish massage might be a good choice. If you have chronic pain or muscle tension, a Deep Tissue or Myofascial Release session may be more beneficial.
How often should I get a massage?
The frequency of your massages depends on your individual needs, goals, and lifestyle. For general wellness and stress reduction, a monthly massage can be very beneficial. If you're dealing with chronic pain or a specific injury, you might find that more frequent sessions, such as every one to two weeks, are more effective. We can discuss a personalized treatment plan with you.
